Helped form, set strategy, design new non-profit organization focused on pioneering K20 education reform centered on the current needs of the times, with contributions from key board members in technology, education technology, publishing, defense and online corporations, form alliances with other non-profits and assist in state and national education change agendas. 

California Education Technology Collaborative, Steering Committee   2008-Present 

Part of 10 year effort to organize the online and technology use for education across California in all the education segments, the CA K20 Education Technology Collaborative has succeeded in forming one central organization.    

Curriki, Advisory Board Member       2008-Present 

Assist strategic direction, work on non-profit and corporate alliances, advocate for U.S. state and school district integration,  advise on International focus. 

XRI-Global, Board Member         2007-Present 

Non-profit organized by Stanford Graduate School of Education professor Paul Kim to maximize the use of hand-held learning devices in communities worldwide where there are no or few teachers.  

Partnership for 21st Century Learning, Board Member   2007-2008  

Board member of P21, worked on media, fund-raising and marketing strategies. 

Fairfax County, VA Education Foundation (K12), Board Member          2005-2007 

Board member Fairfax, VA County Schools foundation that uses its corporate member board to assist the District in acquiring, implementing, utilizing technology-based education solutions.  

International School of Monterey (K-8 CA Charter), Co-Founder, Board 1999-2007 

Co-founder and long-time board member of K-8 International Charter School that utilized the charter structure to fund one of the first publically financed International and IBO schools in the world.  

International Association for K12 Online Education (iNACOL), Advisor 2002-2007 

One of the original organizers of NACOL, on contract from University of California Santa Cruz.
